A drug store has stood at 166 main street in hudson falls since 1896. It was started by a.d. smalley. joseph mccann formed a partnership with mr. smalley and eventually became the sole owner after mr. smalley's passing. Joseph's son paul, joined his father in the 1940's and became sole owner in 1960. the family business entered it's third generation in 1978 when Richard Mccann joined his father. Richard became sole owner in 1980 after the retirement of his father. Mccann's continues to be a true family business. Richard, his brother brian, and his son Matthew currently work at the Pharmacy. Richard's son Jason is expected to join the staff as Pharmacist in the coming year.
